Let's Do Business, Hastings 2010
So, last Thursday was our first time exhibiting at Let's Do Business in Hastings. Although we've exhibited in Eastbourne a couple of times, we hadn't ventured out to Hastings before now.
We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and I was immediately impressed with the size of the venue. The first thing we did on arriving was hang our now famous wallpaper! It was it's third outing at a show and it was as well received as ever, though we have had to retire it now as it was becoming a bit worn out – look out for our brand new wallpaper at the next show we exhibit at!
Once the wallpaper and posters were up, we headed home to prepare for the following day.
We arrived on Thursday morning, bright and early, excited about the prospect of doing some business with the companies in the area.
Once again, we had unleashed Milena's designing talents and asked her to create a competition poster for the show. We decided to go for a 'Spot the Difference' theme for this time. Milena had decided to make the competition pretty tricky, in addition to the more obvious colour differences there was the odd dot missing from an 'i', and an 'r' missing from the end of hour!
Sadly, no one got the exact answer of 32, but Sarah Reader from Gibbons Mannington was closest with 28. Well done Sarah, we'll be in touch soon to discuss the design for the marketing email that you've won!
The show was very successful, it was a lot busier than I was expecting and we got a number of useful leads. As I type this, Vanessa is in a meeting with a potential client she met on Thursday!
Our attentions now turn to following up on all the leads, so we're in for a busy few weeks. Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the show, we hope to see you again soon.
