Content Management Documentation

Switchplane's content management system allows you to add, edit and delete pages on your website. No specialist software or knowledge is required as it works just like Microsoft Word and OpenOffice. All you need is access to the internet and a modern web browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer 7.

Requirements 

To use content management, you must:

  1. be logged in to your website,
  2. have the appropriate security permission.

If you are having difficulties logging in or don't have the security permission, please contact technical support.

Overview of Content Management

Content on your website is split into categories and pages.  For example, in the following URL, the page is called dogs.php and the category is called animals: http://www.yourwebsite.com/animals/dogs.php.
