Creating a Product Category

In order to create a product category, you must have the product category management permission. Your website's head administrator can assign you this permission if you don't have it.

How to create a product category

Step 1: Login to your account.

Step 2: Navigate to the product category where you want to add a new product category. If you have not yet added any product categories, visit www.yourdomain.com/view_category.php.

Step 3: Select "Create a new category" from the product category administration options.

Step 4: Complete the form and press continue to create the product category.

Product Category Properties

Name - a human readable name for the product category e.g. "Films". The name of the product category is shown in the product category navigation tree.

Description - the description of the product category e.g. "All the latest films and more".

Content - SML content to be shown at the top of the product category's page.
