Sage Export: Orders as Sales Invoices

Sage Export: Orders as Sales Invoices generates a .csv file of website orders ready for import into Sage.

In order to export the data, you must have the administrator permission and the Sage export feature must be enabled on your website. Contact technical support if you would like this feature enabled.

How to export orders as Sage format sales invoices

Step 1: Login to your account and go to the administration home page.

Step 2: Select "Export Data" from the menu.

Step 3: Choose "Sage Export: Orders as Sales Invoices (CSV)" from the drop-down list.

Step 4: Complete the form and press continue to generate the feed.

Step 5: When the feed has been generated, your browser will prompt you to download it - select save to download the file to your computer.

Sage Order Export Properties

File Name - specify a suitable name for the file e.g. sage_order_export.csv.

Start Date - specifying a start date will only export orders placed on or after that date. Use the format dd/mm/yyyy e.g. 01/12/2004.

End Date - specifying an end date will only export orders placed on or before that date. Use the format dd/mm/yyyy e.g. 31/12/2004.

Customer Account Reference - the account reference of the Sage customer account representing your generic web customer.

Nominal Sales Account Reference - the nominal ledger account for your web sales.

Sage Username - the Sage username that the transactions should be posted under, usually MANAGER.

Sage Order Export File Format

The system creates one sales invoice for each order placed on your site. Each row has the following format:

SI,[Customer Account Reference],[Sales Account Reference],,[Date],Order ID,User: [User ID],[Net Cost],1,[Tax Cost],[Order Name],[Sage Username]

Do I have to create the file every time I need it?

No. Once you have generated the feed, it will also be available from the files directory of your website e.g. if you specified "sage_export.csv" as the name of the feed, it will be available at www.yourdomain.com/files/sage_export.csv.
