Search Engine Referrals Report

The search engine referrals report allows you to track the performance of your site in search engines by seeing exactly how many click throughs you are receiving.

In order to generate the search engine referrals report, you must have the super admin permission and have the search engine referrals report feature enabled on your site. Contact technical support if you would like this feature enabled.

How to generate a search engine referrals report

Step 1: Login to your account and go to the Administration Home Page.

Step 2: Select "Search Engine Referrals" from the menu.

Step 3: By default, the report shows you referrals from the current month. Make changes to the filter options and press continue to generate a custom report.

Report details

The report results are shown as a daily total of hits for each keyword.

Date - the date of the referral(s).

Query - the search term that was used. The query is shown as a link to the search engine's results for that query.

Hits - the number of times a search engine sent a user to your site on a particular date.

Engine - the name of the search engine e.g. Google.

Filtering results

To filter the results shown in the report, make changes to the "Filter Results" form at the top of the page and press update.

Start Date - includes referrals that occurred on or after the specified date.

End Date - includes referrals that occurred on or before the specified date.

Sort by - sorts referrals in the order that you specify.
