Sending Marketing Emails

The marketing email tool allows you to send a marketing email to your registered users and subscribers. Use marketing emails to encourage repeat visits and increase brand awareness, and ultimately to generate more sales.

You can send marketing emails to three groups:

In order to send marketing emails, you must have the marketing tools permission. If you don't have this permission, ask your head administrator for access.

In order to send an email to all registered users, you must also have the super admin permission. This is because this type of email could qualify as illegal spam. Only send email to all users if it is absolutely necessary, for example an important security announcement.

How to send a marketing email

Step 1: Login to your account and go to the Administration Home Page.

Step 2: Select "Email" from the "Marketing Tools" menu.

Step 3: Complete the form and press continue to send the marketing email.

Marketing Email Properties

Subject - the subject of the email e.g. "Switchplane Newsletter".

Text Content - text part of the email.

HTML Content - the HTML part of the email.

Group to email - the group of users to which the email will be sent.

Marketing Email Tips

If you put "%NAME%" anywhere in the text or HTML content, the system will automatically replace it with the user's name. If the user is a subscriber, it will be replaced with the name of the site followed by "Subscriber", for example, "Switchplane Subscriber".

The number of emails that will be generated is shown after each group of users.

If you specify HTML content, you only need to include HTML that appears between the <BODY> tags.

The system automatically adds your site's standard email header and footer to the email.
