What is a Document Area?

A document area is a part of the website that is usually the same or similar on each page, for example, the left-hand navigation column. When you edit a document area, every content page is updated (except those which have overridden document area content).

Document areas use Switchplane Mark-up Language (SML) to specify the content.

The default document area content can be overridden on each content page in order to produce contextual navigation or special offers.

Document areas cannot be created or deleted - they are setup as part of the design process when we build your website.
