Aspects Hair Designers

Case Study - Updated 4th April 2011

Aspects Hair Designers Website Brief

Bringing the Aspects website bang up-to-date was phase two of a bigger rebranding project. We were asked to create a website which would reinforce the brand with existing clients and help to attract new clients.

The Project

We knew the client well after working on phase one of the rebrand. Education is a core value and they are a Paul Mitchell Signature Salon. The website had to be very clear, whilst maintaining a designer feel.

We designed a bold monochrome look, with splashes of colour to draw the eye to important elements on the page. We used large navigation text and boxed content to deliver clarity, combined with the client’s high-quality photography and hair designer logos to create a fashion-led feel.

The biggest challenge with highly visual website design is ensuring that the end result is search engine friendly whilst remaining compatible with older browsers. We used some clever HTML and CSS techniques to achieve compatibility as far back as version 5.5 of Internet Explorer!

Vanessa, Christian, and Tom worked on this project. Vanessa is the account manager for Aspects and she handled all communication and ensured the project was delivered on time. Christian handled the design, and Tom handled the technical side of things.

End Result

The website took 3 weeks from start to finish.
