Grassroots is a small charity based in Brighton, which works locally and nationally to support individuals who are experiencing suicidal thoughts, and also with communities and organisations to help them effectively support someone at risk of suicide.
We’ve worked closely with Grassroots to produce and launch the Stay Alive app. The app has been well-received as a comprehensive and helpful resource for those who find themselves facing a crisis or those who know somebody who is thinking about suicide. It’s packed with information and tools to help sufferers work through what would otherwise be overwhelming periods of despair. In particular, the safety plan, the customisable reasons for living and the LifeBox, where users can store important photos and memories, have helped many people to come to terms with their feelings.
