Symonds Pearmain, London’s “buzziest new brand”, is making its first foray into the world of retail with the launch of their new ecommerce site. Previously, pieces created under this fashion brand and worn in presentations have been sold through an art gallery, but now retail-friendly production runs will be available via their online shop.
Switchplane has worked in partnership with Anthony Symonds and creative director Edward Quarmby over the past six months to fine-tune the exacting visual design necessary for such an aesthetically-orientated company. Through close collaboration with regular meetings and constant feedback, the end result is a lean and minimalistic shopping experience for users; the website facilitates the product, rather than overshadowing it. Everything included on the website has been carefully judged on its merit before earning its pixels. Different media and ways of accessing the website have been considered from the outset, so it is fully responsive and usable on a wide range of devices and platforms.
